CONFIDENCE/NO CONFIDENCE MOTIONS -6TH KERALA LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

12. On February 2, 1982 the House granted leave to Shri. A.C. Shanmugha Das to move the following motion:

"This House expresses its want of confidence in the Council of Ministers headed by Shri. K.Karunakaran".
The Motion was discussed on 3rd and 4th February 1982.

When the motion was put to vote, 70 Members each voted for and against the motion. Then Speaker exercised casting vote against the motion under Art. 189 of the constitution and the motion was declared as lost.
