Training plays a vital role in the overall performance of
parliamentary institutions since its functions are highly
sophisticated and complex. The training cell
undertakes induction training and in-service training to
all the personnel to improve their functional skills with
professionalism and enable them to develop right attitude
and qualities essential to work in the Legislature
Secretariat.
Thematic training are also organised for the distinct
groups of officials to develop expertise on the subjects
like Legislative drafting, Legislative process, other
Legislative businesses and Legislative committees. Such
training aims to provide in-depth study of the relevant
rules required so that they may develop professional
knowledge to discharge their duties and responsibilities
effectively and also have deeper appreciation of the
constitutional role and position of the Legislature as
representative institution, nurturing the values of
democracy.
