Smt. Kuttiyamma; born at Karukachal in Kottayam District on 23rd October, 1927; M.A., LL.B.; Lawyer, Political and Social Worker.
Educated in Travancore, Madras, Bombay and Poona Universities; after completing the education enrolled as an Advocate in 1954; later became Lecturer and Professor in Colleges under Management of N.S.S.; was Member of the Kerala University Senate for several years; was President, Changanassery Circle Cooperative Union for 5 years; was President, Karukachal Panchayat for 23 years, was President, Karukachall Rural Housing Society.
Was Minister for Transport and Excise in the Ministries headed by C. Achutha Menon, K,.Karunakaran, A.K. Antony and P.K. Vasudevan Nair, was Deputy Speaker of the IX K.L.A. (1991-96)
Elected to T.C.L.A. in 1954; elected to K.L.A. in 1963, 1965, 1970, 1977, 1991 and 1996.
