Entered politics as Congress Member in 1952; served as Secretary, Wandur Firka Congress Committee and Calicut D.C.C.; Member, K.P.C.C. since 1958; President, Malapuram D.C.C.; General Secretary, K.P.C.C.; Involved in the activities of I.N.T.U.C. from 1956 and still thriving on; President of various labour unions such as Ernad Taluk Plantation Labour Congress, Pullengode Estate Labour Congress, Malappuram District Farm Worker’s Union, Chokkad Farm Worker’s Union, Malappuram District Milk Supplies Employee’s Union, Gwalior Rayons Employees’ Union, Janata Tile Factory Employees’ Union, Kottakkal Tile Factory Employee’s Union, Nilambur Timber Workers’ Union, Malappuram District Motor Transport Workers’ Union, Malappuram District Timber Workers’ Union, Malappuram District Wholesale Consumer's Stores Workers' Union; President, State Marketing Federation; Director, N.C.D.C. and
NAFED.
