Chairman, State SSP (1968-69); Leader, SP Parliamentary Party; Participated in freedom movement; Went underground many times; Active member of INC till 1948; Joined ISP; Member, Grandha Sala Sanghom; Jailed for participating in Goa freedom struggle; President, Kerala Plantation Workers Union; Associated with Kisan and co-operative movements.
