Started Social activity through Balasangham; Was Unit Secretary and Member, Kannur District Committee of K.S.F.; Was State Joint Secretary and Ernakulam District President of Students Federation.  Served as Mandalam President, Kerala Socialist Youth Federation, Thrippunithura; Member, Ernakulam District Committee; Secretary and President, Hosdurg Taluk Committee; Kari Branch Secretary, CPI(M); Local Committee Secretary, Cheruvathoor; Area Secretary, Nileswaram and Kanhangad Area Committee, Served as Kasaragod District Committee Secretary(for 10 years); Member, C.I.T.U, Karshaka Sanghom, Kannur District Committee; District Secretary, Karshaka Thozhilalee Union, Kasaragod (for 7 Years); President, Cheruvathoor Grama Panchayat (1979-84); Chairman, Nileswaram Block Development Committee(1988-91).
