Entered politics through A.I.S.F. while a student; Was District Secretary and State Joint Secretary of A.I.S.F.; Branch Secretary, Mandalam Assistant Secretary, District Assistant Secretary and District Secretary, C.P.I; District Secretary, District President and State Working Committee Member, A.I.T.U.C.; Was member, Medical College H.D.C, R.T.A., Kozhikode; Chairman, K.F.D.C; Unit Manager, Janayugam; took part in many struggles and brutally assaulted by the police, imprisoned for one and a half month in connection with Parliament march.

Now serves as President, Motor Vehicle Workers Union; Member, State Council, C.P.I.
